Restoration

Restoration Work Since 1994                                                                                                                                                                                      Hull:  Refastened above waterline with stainless steel.  Splined above water line.  Planking  above waterline replaced over chainplates.  Replanking below waterline 75% complete.  New floors, wooden keel, and partial frames placed from maststep back to rudder post.  Carbon fiber ring/frames constructed at site of maststep.  New one-inch keel bolts (eleven).  New garboards and deadwood.  Frames repaired or replaced as needed.

Deck:  Old deck removed and replaced with marine plywood and Dynel.  All new covering boards.  Deck beams replaced as needed.  Transom removed, repaired and reset. 

Deckhouse:  Old deckhouse removed along with middle one-third of deck beams and deck.  New deckhouse built to original Fairlie Plans by William Fife III.  Racing interior with teak floors. 

Engine/Electrical:  Low-hour Yanmar 20-B, new, with new diesel tank.  New throttle and shift lever/cable 2015.  Entire electrical system replaced including switches and batteries.  New bilge pumps and float switches 2017.  

Mast:  Original Mast.  Standing Rigging replaced as needed.  Leather and brightworks on mast maintained yearly. Spreader hounds replaced in stainless steel.  

Sails:  Ratsey and Lapthorn Complete set new in 1996.  Four jibs (85,  120,  150,  220 % ).  Oceanus sails, vintage ivory, cleaned and maintained yearly.  Two spinnakers, low use, with dragon emblems.  Two custom Hall aluminum spinnaker poles.  

Running Rigging:  Replaced as needed.  New main halyard 2017.  

Electronics:  New depth sounder, 2016.  New stereo 2017, four speakers. Boat wired and set up with new Garmin GPSMap 4208.
